The Fascinating Things About Skirts

People have been wearing skirts for many, many years. In the 1800s, skirts began to make a few transformations. At this time, the waistline on skirts rose to just under the bust line. Later in this century, the hemline found its way to the actual waistline. Also during these years the material in skirts began to increase. They went from being relatively narrow to being so full they could contain a hoopskirt underneath. After this fashion craze was over, skirts became a reasonable size again.

Modern skirts were created to be in many different styles. One is the pencil skirt. The pencil skirt reaches to or just past the knee and is cut to be narrow and straight to resemble a pencil. Someone may be looking for a shorter skirt. The miniskirt can be short enough to not reach past the buttocks, but it can be a little lower. A short skirt is something different from a miniskirt and reaches just above the knee.

Under the “Skirts” tab people will find flowing skirts from KandCo.com. These skirts are ankle-length and form-fitted at the top, but they are pleated from the hip down. They come in six colors, light coral, lime, red, khaki, black and white. A slight variation of this skirt gives it a loose look from the waist down; it is also ankle-length. This skirt comes in eight different colors including orange, black, purple, red, white, bright pink, green and peacock blue.

A third style allows for the wearer to add a wide belt. Also ankle-length, this skirt comes in three colors, chocolate, white and stone. The embellished skirt is at tea-length and it is decorated at the waist and throughout the skirt. It comes in three colors, pink, white and yellow.
